MAY 22ND, 2024 UPDATE:

Power is fully restored.

Water conservation measures have returned to normal.

ORIGINAL POST:

Residents of HCMUD 370:

We would like to update you on the current situation due to yesterday’s storm. Both the water plant and the lift station are currently operating on generator power. Please conserve water until power has been restored.

Key Points:

  • The water plant's fuel supply was topped off last month, so we are in a good position for now.
  • Our team is actively monitoring the fuel situation.
  • Our fuel supplier has been contacted and is ready to deliver additional fuel if needed.

How You Can Help: While the water plant and lift station are functioning normally, we kindly ask for your cooperation in conserving water during this time. By reducing water usage, you can help alleviate the strain on our systems and conserve energy.

Here are some simple ways to reduce water usage:

  • Take shorter showers.
  • Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or shaving.
  • Only run dishwashers and washing machines with full loads.
  • Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
